 | Deus Ex 3 news [posted by slicer]
Not very new news but for those who haven't been able to find much information on Deus Ex 3 after the teaser trailer, it has now been announced that Deus Ex 3 will be set before both Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Invisible War, apparently a prequel to a prequel. More information can be found here although it is in Czech...
The Nameless Mod... to be released soon! [posted by slicer]
More news? Impossible I say! But if you fancy killing me or some other random person you have come across in the Deus Ex community, the opportunity has now come before you with the soon to be released The Nameless Mod. After 7 years of hard work, rumours has it that it will be released sometime in March (note that Mod DB is not accurate) but keep check of The Nameless Mod's official site and soon, it will be yours.
In other news, if this site goes down again, blame Jim.

 | Deus Ex 3 is real [posted by slicer]
After 3 days of drooling and with half the DXE news team forgetting their log-in to post the news, I hereby present you the trailer here. Also, be warned that the official Deus Ex site is now www.deusex3.com as www.deusex.com has been hijacked by some undesirable people.

 | Deus Ex 3 on the horizon [posted by slicer]
Old news is always good news over at DXEditing.com since our last news headline was over a year ago.
Back in late 2003, Warren confirmed that Deus Ex 3 was underway. His departure from ISA (Ion Storm Austin) in 2004 followed by the closure of ISA in 2005 pretty much ended the project. However, Eidos have confirmed in May this year that Deus Ex 3 is to be put into production at their Montreal studio. However, Warren Spector doesn't seem bothered about it all in a recent interview after joining Disney.
It seems none of the original team that made Deus Ex will be recalled but that's all speculation until further news arrive. Let's hope they can figure out that designing a game around a console is bad and universal ammo is silly. Stay tuned!

 | Chronos Lives! [posted by Trestkon]
Inspired by a stint of skinning and voice acting with TNM, Cyan has picked up on the Chronos roject once again. The humble website, found at www.planetdeusex.com/chronos, reflects what new changes have taken place.
At the end of PhaseII, Chronos will completely rework the entire aesthetics
of Deus Ex while at the same time slightly altering gameplay with added side
missions, a new bullet time augmentation, and even the evil JC Denton. Much
of this has already been done and according to the scope of things, the rest
of Phase II appears to be a downhill battle.
Conversely, Phase III is on the horizon. A Phase that will allow you to
stay with Unatco and take on new, never seen before missions. Large visions
there. Chronos aspires to be the never-ending modification, but always
releasing. Screenshots coming soon.

 | Power & Love Mod [posted by Trestkon]
Straight from the horse's mouth:
"In January 2005, I've started a mod project. The mod is called Power&Love, and it has the following storyline:
Of course, I'm looking for modders of all kinds: mappers, modellers and coders, and also someone that would register on Internet forums and set up recruitment threads. Applications should be sent via email: atheix@o2.pl
The address of the mod's website is www.powernlove.republika.pl - although it's in Polish domain, the contents are in English.
This is, IMO, worth posting it in the news."
